Antique A.E. Hull Blue & White Stoneware Pitcher
$98.00
This product is currently sold out.
A beautiful antique blue and white stoneware pitcher attributed to the A.E. Hull Pottery Company of Crooksville, Ohio. Dating to the early 1900s, this substantial pitcher features the distinctive molded Apricot or Cherry pattern, with raised fruit surrounded by ornate botanical flourishes.
A rich cobalt blue glaze settles beautifully into the embossed details and fades into a creamy stoneware ground, giving this piece the wonderfully timeworn character we love in early American pottery.
Originally made as a utilitarian piece for the home, today we love it filled with branches or flowers, holding wooden spoons in the kitchen, or simply displayed as part of a collection of antique blue and white pottery.
This example is unmarked, as many early utility pieces were, and measures approximately 9" tall.
As with all of our vintage finds, this piece shows evidence of its age and history. Please note the chip along the rim near the spout and an associated hairline, both shown in the photographs.
