A wonderfully timeworn vintage wooden stool with layers of old dark paint and beautifully worn edges revealing the natural wood beneath. Simple utilitarian construction, splayed legs, a lower stretcher and an oval handhold through the top give this little stool all the character of an old household piece that has been used and loved for generations.
The heavily distressed painted surface is especially beautiful, with chips, scratches, worn edges and remnants of earlier finishes creating a completely one-of-a-kind patina. Style it beside a chair, beneath a console, stacked with books or simply tucked into a collected corner of the home. Truly, one of a kind.
